Three day weekend. Guess what I did?

After finishing the neck facing, I put the zipper in and tried it on for the first time. It felt like I was wearing a cloud!

Not much to show for it yet, but all my pieces are cut out and I have begun sewing.

I've put two layers of chiffon over the small bodice pieces. I've begun sewing the larger pieces together.

Began cutting the good fabric today.

The altered sleeves are so full, I had to cut them in single-width fabric.

Mock up has been taken apart. Pieces are marked and ironed, and I'm ready to cut into the good fabric tomorrow!

This was the last thing I played with before taking everything apart. Back collar brought forward. I think I will have to hand-tack this for it to work.

I bought all new Galadriel wigs this year after wearing one for over 16 hours at Dragon*Con, including the Middle Earth dance party.

I show up at 3:18. Just look how that wig is sliding back and forth along my back!

Here is my Galadriel White Council mock-up to date. The only thing remaining is the hem (and some finishing touches which I will skip). This is per the pattern instructions, except I’ve made the skirt about 6 inches narrower. I started tapering it in at the hip.
